Activity

Activity/Audit enables a security administrator to view the operations performed or initiated in NPM. It also helps to know certain operations performed on Kyverno resources such as Policy and Cluster Policy inside a managed cluster.

To view the activity log details:

  1. Go to Menu>Monitor>Activity. The Activity page for all users is displayed.

  1. If you want to see the Activity for a particular user, then in the User Name filter field, enter the user name for whom you want to view the Activity.

  2. If you want to view the Activity for a particular action, then in the Action filter field, enter the action such as Created to view the report for all the created action. The options available in this filter field are: Created, Modified, Deleted, and State Change.

  3. If you want to view the Activity for an Object Type, then in the Search Object Type field, either select the listed object type or enter an object type for which you want to view the Activity, for example, Alarm.

  4. If you want to view the Activity for an Object Name, then in the Search Object Name field, select the listed object name or enter an object name for which you want to view the Activity, for example, the policy name.

  5. If you want to view the user activity or the system activity, then in the User filter field, select the desired option. The available options are: All, User, and System.

  6. By default, the Activity is displayed for the Last Day. If you want to change it to Last Hour, Last Week, Last Month, or Custom, then choose the desired option from the drop-down list on the top right corner of the page.

  7. Select Custom if you want to see the Activity for the desired dates. Select the From and the To date. The Activity for that particular period is displayed.

  8. By default, you can view 10 activities per page. You can change the number of activities per page in the page filter at the bottom right corner. The available options are: 10, 25, 50, and 100.

NOTE: Activity logs are visible for 30 days from the date of creation.
